Honoring the Work of Richard A. Epstein

On March 26-27, 2009, the University of Tulsa College of Law's Tulsa Law Review honored Richard Epstein with a symposium celebrating his work. The presentations below appeared in Volume 44, Issue 4 of the Tulsa Law Review. Richard A. Epstein has taught law at the University of Chicago since 1972 and has served as the Peter and Kirsten Bedford Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution since 2000. He received an LL.D., h.c., from the University of Ghent, 2003. He has been a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1985 and a Senior Fellow of the Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago Medical School since 1983. He served as editor of the Journal of Legal Studies from 1981 to 1991 and of the Journal of Law and Economics from 1991 to 2001. At present, he is a director of the John M. Olin Program in Law and Economics at the University of Chicago Law School. Epstein received bachelor’s degrees from Columbia College, Oxford University and an LL.B. from Yale University.
