Guide to the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN)

Quick overview of OSCN for students and practicing attorneys.
Accessing Court Records (The Docket)

A docket is a record of the proceedings of a court case. Dockets can vary widely based on jurisdiction. The type of information recorded and what is available to the public changes based on jurisdiction. Usually, the docket contains at least basic information like case name, party names, and docket number.  With OSCN, if there is a record that you can not access through a link on the dockets then you will need to call the clerk’s office for that county.

Difficulty Finding The Right Record?

If you are having difficulty finding a name or case, OSCN provides Wild Cards to use in the Court Docket search. See below.

Wild Cards on The Oklahoma State Courts Network Court Dockets:

There are two wild card characters, The percent sign (%) and an underscore(_). The percent sign can be used to find variations of a person's name. Using the percent sign will find all possible combinations of letters following your entry. For example,

Car%

would find Carson, Carter, Carswell, Carpenter, etc. The underscore is used to replace a specific character, such as

Car_on

would find Carson and Carton.  You may use multiple underscores in a row to replace multiple characters. Use wildcards sparingly, as using them carelessly may lead to large search returns with many unrelated cases
