The Quick Compare tool allows researchers to build charts comparing legal requirements from multiple jurisdictions with relevant cites to check and look at the law from each jurisdiction.
Below is an example of how the quick compare tool would be used.
Step 1: Click on "Build a New Chart" below.
Step 2: Select the Practice Area that best represents the area of law you are looking to compare. This will lead you to relevant charts on state laws, certification and statutes of limitations. For this example, we will click on "State Laws on Attorney-Client Privilege."
Step 3: Next, you will have the option to select the states/jurisdictions you are hoping to compare. In this case we will be comparing Oklahoma and Texas. Once we select the jurisdictions, we hope to compare it will provide columns that further narrow down the issues to compare. After we have selected the states and columns to include, we will click "apply."
Step 4: The final comparison chart is shown below. You can click on the citations in the first and second columns to read and be directed to the source of law.
