Westlaw is a popular online legal research database that contains extensive case law, statutes, legal tools and forms, and secondary sources for the United States, Canada and over 60 other countries. Versions of the legal platforms include Westlaw Classic, Westlaw Edge, and Westlaw Precision. Currently, TU offers students the newest version, Westlaw Precision. This new version combines the former successful database with AI-assisted research tools.
This guide will provide an overview of Westlaw Precision and the features and tools available to TU students in 2024.
If you need help getting access to your student Westlaw account, please contact MLIC or IT and we can assist you. If you are a visiting alumni you can contact the circulation desk and they can log you into our available computers for guest access. Please note that guest access for alumni may not be as extensive as the student subscription.
